TIENDA HO MOROCCAN COTTON SOUSDIE DOUBLE LAYER SKIRT- These skirts can last a life-time if taken care of... and this is a timeless masterpiece of authentic hand-woven Moroccan Cotton sousdi. It's a two tiered skirt with fringed layer mid-way, over a full length second layer. This is an excellently constructed skirt with two layers front and back-weighs 2lb. Perfect for fall & winter wear. You can't find these beautifully crafted skirts anywhere! Design Details: Front & back panel inverted triangle is fully trapunto top stitched. Elastic waist-triple stitched to resist rolling, side slit in top layer to pockets! The top layer has diagonal seams with gathered fabric draping over underskirt. Very romantic, modern and authentically Feminine * Trapunto stitching (Italian for "to embroider"), also called stuffed technique, is a quilting technique that is quite decorative in that it utilizes at least two layers, which is padded from the underside. This produces a raised surface on the fabric. This style originated in Italy in fourteenth or the sixteenth century. Top stitching enhances a fabric's design and strengthens seams. Every stitch must be accurately done by a machine or by hand.
