| ........................................................................................... Lagenlook Moroccan Cotton Sousdie Cocoon Batwing Duster - Okay gals- here is yet another show-stopping design. It looks like the pyramid of Giza, a Flapper's dream, and a plus-size duster extraorinaire. It's hand woven and hand dyed in Morocco Cotton susti (susdi) cotton-rayon blend that feels as luxurious as cashmere. Design details; Long cascade front collar, batwing sleeves that taper towards the wrists, the design looks like a cocoon, a bit longer on the sides. The back is a masterpiece of craftsmanship. Nobody does this kind of sewing anymore. A deep triangular trapunto stitching on trangular back yoke adds the finishing touches to this lovely garment. * Trapunto stitching (Italian for "to embroider"), also called stuffed technique, is a quilting technique that is quite decorative in that it utilizes at least two layers, which is padded from the underside. This produces a raised surface on the fabric. This style originated in Italy in fourteenth or the sixteenth century. Topstitching enhances a fabric's design and strengthens seams. Every stitch must be accurately done by a machine or by hand. see photo below in persimmon (for example only)
